Our aim is to provide you with information on the transfer from Statements to EHC Plans, Derbyshire Information Advice and Support Service will be delivering a presentation to, inform and empower you as you go through the transfer process.
Following this workshop there will be a representative from Derbyshire County Council to talk through the consultation on Short break cuts, and answer any questions you have. The forum will be taking feedback from parents to enable us to submit our own report on the proposed changes, it is important that you have your say on these changes, without your voice we can not make a difference.

We are a national charity helping blind and partially sighted people get active and play sport.
We are developing a free First Steps activity pack for visually impaired children aged 7 to 12 years old. First Steps includes everything a family needs to lead a more active life. It includes an audible ball to allow children to hear where the ball is, activity cards, local clubs booklets and a progress chart. You can learn more about it in this article: http://bbs.gl/fslaunch
We are currently in a pilot stage and are looking for families in the West and East Midlands regions. The pack is free and is being sent directly to the families who request them. We have had positive feedback so far, but are still looking to work with an additional 20 families across the two regions.
Families need to do is complete a short form and the free activity pack will be sent directly to them. Registration form: http://bbs.gl/firststepswelcome
