Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice met with Derbyshire County Council on Friday 11th December 2015 to talk about the information that had been collected from parents and carers about the Education Health and Social care Plans. Both parties agreed that this had been informative meeting, and one that should be repeated periodically to ensure that EHCP are improving, but to also address issues that arise across Derbyshire for all Parents and Carers. Information from the meeting will be published on the website shortly.
Thank you for your continued support and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Emily Brailsford – Co Chair of Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice
In order for the forum to analyse the information gathered we will need to close the questionnaire on Thursday 5th November, we still needs parents and carers to speak out about their EHC experience, if you have been through it, will be transferring your statement, have has a statement ceased or an assessment refused, we want to hear both positive and negative experiences, so we can get the whole picture
We have recently been working across Derbyshire and have heard mixed reports about Education Health and Social Care Plans, we are therefore conducting a short survey to find out parents views on the new process, weather you have applied for a plan and was not successful, Are you having your statement transferred to an EHC plan, You have a EHC plan already, where every you are in the process, help us get a picture of EHC plans in Derbyshire.
tonight is our last EHC workshop at the struts centre beeper 19:00 -21:00 come along and learn about transferring your child’s/young persons statement. We will also be taking feedback on the proposed changes to Aiming High, have your say before this service changes.
